Founder and President
Ms. Schoor founded PRISM in 1994 after serving as Risk Manager for Hirsch Wolf Brokerage. She has built PRISM from a small regional brokerage with focus solely on the healthcare industry and, more specifically, on the Workers’ Compensation insurance segment between 1995 and 2005. The brokerage than started to expand its business mix and coverage menu to a broader field that included property management, transportation and manufacturing. Its geographic footprint grew to most states east of the Mississippi. Today, PRISM is writing policies, consulting on risk management projects and handling claims throughout the United States. In 2015 and again in 2016, PRISM was named a Risk & Insurance “POWER BROKER” an honor bestowed on a limited number of firms in several industry and product categories.
As a well-established risk management professional, Ms. Schoor is a regular guest speaker at conventions and frequently conducts seminars on a wide variety of industry-related topics including but not limited to plan option availability, loss control prevention, claims management and safety program implementation.
Ms. Schoor obtained a paralegal degree from Adelphi University and remains active in Continuing Education Classes in insurance to keep current with changes in the law and state insurance regulators. Ms. Schoor lives in Queens, New York with her husband, Asher Schoor, and their seven children.
